RPG Keys to Supercharge your Workflow
Posted on January 22nd, 2010 No commentsWe’ve been looking for ways to speed up the rate that we can process photos after an event. Part of the problem is how long it takes to use the sliders to adjust exposure, color temperature, blacks, etc. in Lightroom.
We ran across RPG keys at WPPI last year and have been keeping an eye on them. Kevin Kubota has his own version of RPG keys that is a bit smaller (about the size of a number keypad) but when we saw the full blown version we fell in love.

Here’s a review of this product:
http://www.slrlounge.com/2010/01/speed-up-post-production-with-rpg-keys/Our RPG keys are supposed to arrive any day now and we’ll let you know how it goes after getting used to a new workflow.
Happy Lightroom-ing!

Indy Photo Coach – Lightroom Class
Posted on July 29th, 2009 No commentsIndy Photo Coach is having another Lightroom class… here’s the description that they sent me.
“The focus of this class is workflow: beginning with camera file formats, downloading, sorting & organizing, editing/developing & finally printing. Lightroom is a groundbreaking software that allows you to sort through many images to find the best ones, then make “batch edits” or quick fixes to get the image ready for Photoshop or print. We have several workflow suggestions, but we will give you the knowledge to make your own decisions.”
Date: August 15 from 9am – 4pm (Lunch included)
Location: Plainfield, IN
Cost: $150 (+$5 registration fee)To register or get more information go to: http://indyphotocoach.com/lightroom.html
I’ve never taken any of these classes, so I can’t tell you that they’re good or not. I do know one person who took one and I believe that she learned quite a few things during the training class.
